Line Following Robot 

I created a line following robot by soldering together various circuits onto a micro controller. The line following robot was an automated guided vehicle which followed a visible line embedded onto a track.

 

An infrared sensor circuit was used to enable line following. This included an infrared light, a photo diode, op-amps and resistor and diode values as calculated. The infrared light LED shined light onto the line surface and the photo-diode would pickup a certain value that would range from a light color surface to a black surface.  Depending on the value you could tell if you were on the line or not on the line. Using this information I used assembly level code to enable the robot to successfully follow a black line. To the right there are a few photos depicting the robot.
